Skincubed is a free, browser-based Minecraft skin editor. This policy explains what data we handle and why. The short version: you can use the editor without an account, and we never sell your data.

1. What we collect

  • Without an account: nothing is sent to us. Your skins autosave in your browser's local storage and stay on your device.
  • With an account: your name, email address, a hashed password, and the skins you save (name, arm model and the PNG texture).
  • Usage data: anonymous page view statistics (page, referrer, country, device type) through Cloudflare Web Analytics, which does not use cookies or track you across sites.
  • Server logs: our hosting provider keeps short-lived request logs (IP address, user agent) for security and debugging.

2. Cookies and local storage

We set one essential cookie to keep you signed in. Local storage holds your skins, editor preferences and theme. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, so no cookie banner is needed.

3. How we use your data

  • To run the editor and sync your skins between devices.
  • To sign you in and send account emails such as password resets.
  • To keep the service secure and fix problems.
  • To understand which pages are useful, in aggregate.

4. Sharing

We do not sell your data. Skins are private unless you create a share link; anyone with that link can see and download the skin. Shared links are hidden from search engines.

We use one service provider to run the site: Cloudflare (hosting, database, analytics and password reset emails).

5. Children

The editor can be used without an account by anyone. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. If you believe a child under 13 has created one, email us and we will delete it.

6. Keeping and deleting your data

Your account and skins are kept until you delete them. You can delete individual skins from My skins, or delete your whole account in Account settings, which removes all of your saved skins. Clearing your browser data removes skins that were only stored locally.

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA), you can ask to access, correct, export or delete your personal data. Email support@skincubed.com and we will respond within 30 days.

8. Changes

If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced on the site.
